Could there be anything more convenient than online shopping? Conveniently browsing offers in your own home, buying with a few clicks, waiting (shorter and shorter nowadays) and the shipment delivered personally ... No wonder that we like to buy shoes online. How to do it so that instead of joy we will not be surprised by an unpleasant surprise?

Buying shoes online is not as easy as it may seem. Shoes should be made of the best materials, solidly and professionally made. This aspect will be ensured by purchasing from a manufacturer that we know or one that has an established position on the market. However, this in itself will not make the shoes fit - for this we need to get to know ourselves, specifically our own feet.

The most important thing is the size of the foot, or rather its length in centimeters, because the final size is influenced by other factors, such as the thickness or the height of the instep. To find out the length of your foot, it is enough to stand barefoot on a piece of paper and mark the tip of the big toe and heel with a pencil (possibly outline the foot). Measure the length of the foot from the farthest point of the big toe to the heel (in a straight line, not diagonally) and add 0.5 centimeters - otherwise the shoes will be tight. Compare the size obtained in this way with the size and it's ready! Manufacturers use different sizes, so if there is no size table on the website, it is better to give up shopping in such a place.

Another issue is the selection of the type of footwear for the type of foot. If the foot is stout or wide, it is likely that narrow shoes with narrow toes, despite the appropriate size, may be cramped or uncomfortable. In the case of shoes with wider toes and a less slender form, perhaps the shoe in a given number - despite the apparent consistency in centimeters - will turn out to be too large. However, this is not a rule, because it all depends on the shape of the hoof on which the shoe is made. Therefore, shoes of the same size, but from different manufacturers, may turn out to be drastically different in terms of comfort. It is best to measure the foot in several strategic places so that you can then use specific data.

Armed with such knowledge, we can proceed further, guided by our own intuition and the advice of store consultants. When buying shoes, it is best to go to stores that offer such an option - contact by e-mail or chat with a consultant who, after a brief description of the foot, will allow you to choose the best option among the chosen models. Knowing the actual foot size will be of great help.

When making subsequent purchases, it is better not to assume in advance that if one model of shoes in size 44 turned out to be good, then any other shoe in this size will also be so. However, if the size of the selected manufacturer is adequate, the offer is wide, consultants are available, and the purchased shoes are good - it is worth insisting on such a choice for longer than risking surprises. After all, in shoes, in addition to appearance and quality, comfort matters.
