Masonry cranes - a lifesaver for masonry companies?
Masonry - a general overview of the masonry market
For many years we have been observing in the construction sector a progressive problem with finding workers to do heavy physical work, where masonry is undoubtedly one of these jobs. As a result, young people are not willing to work as bricklayers. The problem is made worse by the fact that the older generation of skilled masons is slowly leaving the profession due to age, as well as numerous health problems caused by work in this profession. In the future, after the end of the war in Ukraine, the problem may additionally grow due to the exodus of many workers from Poland, as well as the reconstruction of our eastern neighbor, which opens wide prospects for Polish construction companies. That's why it's a good idea to prepare for this process in advance, so that in the era of a rapidly growing construction market you already have experience in technologies that speed up bricklaying.
What are the advantages of masonry machines
Bricklaying cranes are a technology that has been known for many years, especially in our western neighbors. In Poland, masonry cranes have been dynamically entering the market for a few years. Thanks to masonry machines, bricklayers are masoning walls faster and, just as importantly, are able to brick at an even, fast tempo for a whole week! This gives them an advantage over the traditional method of putting up walls, where performance varies during the day or week due to physical tiredness.
Masonry crane ADAR
This is a device for mechanical wall masonry with standard silicate blocks available on the market, e.g. Silka E, Sil-pro, H+H, as well as cellular concrete elements, e.g. Ytong Jumbo. The machine is available in two versions: with a lifting capacity of 100kg and 160kg. In combination with a masonry gripper, it is capable of placing a whole row of silicate blocks from a pallet at once (when masonry without a vertical joint). This allows to achieve the productivity of 2 people + masonry crane up to 10m2 of masonry/hour!
Mini crane MC03 for under ceiling masonry
It is a device for mechanical wall masonry of large-size masonry blocks, which are increasingly popular in Poland. Thanks to the large dimensions of the blocks 2 people + mini-crane are able to brick even 16m2/hour!
Where masonry cranes will perform well
Both cranes are designed for masonry work in single-family, multi-family buildings, hotels or public buildings. However, they are also excellent for masonry work on industrial halls. The condition is a stable surface, such as a ceiling, on which the crane will be able to move. Moving the cranes to new locations is very fast and easy. In a masonry crane, to move it to the next working place, it is enough to push it by hand. On the other hand, in a Mini crane MC03, you need to fold the support feet and use the built-in battery to move it to the next location.
